I have certainly learned a substantial amount, which does make some of the time worthwhile, but I believe I've squandered opportunities - usually because I didn't want to spend too much money, and then did not really have the time needed for the free methods of marketing and advertising. Of course, there also was the challenge of my husband breathing down my neck to produce instant results for all this time I expend on the internet.
What may be done about this? Any individual who discovers themselves contemplating this issue of hobby vs business ought to take the time to assess their goals. If an abundant income is not really needed at present, then there possibly is no need to change anything - simply continue messing around with every new thing that comes along.
